Sparkle is the story of legendary dancer Sheri 'Sparkle' Williams, who at age 50 (!) is still dancing with the world-renowned Dayton Contemporary Dance Company. Their film is the story of how Sheri faces a devastating injury, which happened on stage.
November 2: A Premiere Evening! Steven Bognar and Julia Reichert's award-winning short Sparkle will be presented at the Dayton Art Institute as part of a fundraiser for the extraordinary Dayton Contemporary Dance Company.
The evening includes the local premiere of the short film, then Ms. Sheri 'Sparkle' Williams will perform a world premiere solo dance piece choreographed by Rodney K. Brown. The evening will conclude with a special performance by the entire Dayton Contemporary Dance Company.
