Ohio Brass & Electric are delighted to announce our first public show!
Bogey's Bar and Grill, 3950 Springfield-Xenia Road, Springfield
Starting at 9pm, at Bogeys Bar & Grill, about 6 miles north of Yellow Springs, opposite Walt's Auto, behind the Mayberry gas station.
We're bringing a bunch of our very favorite horn-band tunes -- including plenty of funky hits that were made for dancing, the kind of tunes you played back in the day when you wanted to move the party onto the dance floor! We're talking about bands like Chicago, Earth, Wind & Fire, Joe Cocker, Stevie Wonder, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, and plenty more. It's a free show, and Bogeys serves dinner until 11pm or later. Pencil it on your calendars, write yourself a note, click "Join" on our Facebook page (Boogie at Bogeys!) -- whatever it takes, just be there to help us have a terrific first public gig!
Heads up! If you're having trouble finding the place, here's a clue: the sign on the building isn't very large. There actually isn't a sign on the building at all, the sign is in the window of the bar. What you're really looking for is the Marathon gas station, 5.2 miles from the YS Library, on the Young's Dairy side of Rt. 68. You may see the yellow mobile marquee out in front that says "Bogey's Grill" but I missed it. The Marathon gas station and sign, however, is much harder to miss. Bogey's is the single story building behind the gas station.
