Sustainable food systems talk at Antioch

Antioch College alumna Annie Reichert ’06 will discuss her work and experience attending Vermont’s Table, an intensive five-week course in sustainable food production at Sterling College in Craftsbury Commons, Vermont, on Tuesday, August 28, at 7:30 p.m. in McGregor 113 on the Antioch College campus.

Sterling College is a small, liberal arts college with what Yankee Magazine calls “one of the most innovative farm-to-table education programs.” Reichert received a bachelor’s degree in communications, with a concentration in photography from Antioch College in 2006. She has been developing an interest in food production and small business operation while living in New York City. While at Sterling College, she is learning about the economics of farming practices and how to work with draft horses, and make cheeses and bread.

Sterling College produces most of their food, or sources it locally as much as possible.
