The Clifton Gorge Music & Arts Festival will be held August 24 – 26th. The festival will celebrate local and regional talent and artisans. The festival will open at 4pm on Friday, August 24th. Hours are 4 – 10pm on Friday, 9 – 10pm on Saturday, and 11 – 5pm on Sunday. Visit the artisan booths located across from the shelter house and in front of the Clifton Union School. Free admission. This event benefits the Village of Clifton historic building preservation fund.
On Friday, The Soul Rebels jam band will kick off the entertainment at 6pm, followed by Soul Fire Tribe dancing at 8:30pm. At 9:00 pm the Wright Brothers Band will take the stage. Saturday’s entertainment includes Rob Heiliger and Crazy Joe at noon followed by The GoodVibes at 2pm. The Wheels Band will perform at 5pm, followed by Deja Vu at 7pm, and at 8pm Daniel Dye and the Miller Road Band will close the evening’s entertainment. Sunday, the New Mountain Heritage Bluegrass will open at noon with bluegrass and gospel. Another bluegrass band, Steve Bonafel and One Iota will perform at 2pm, followed by Noah Back at 4pm.
Festival fare will be offered by several food concessions, something for everyone. The festival takes place on SR343 and Clay Street in and around the gazebo and shelter house. There will be activities for the kids, lots of great food and refreshments. The beer tent will be set up adjacent to the shelter house.
