Savvy agent gets local muralist to promote skate fest

Multi-media artist Pierre Nagley works on one of ten skateboard decks outside of Brother Bear's Cafe last week. The decks will be awarded as skate competition prizes at Skarstic Festival 2010. The skate, music, food and art fest, organized by two Yellow Springs High School seniors, will take place Saturday, April 17, from 2-10 p.m., in the Yellow Springs Skate Park and Tennis Courts, next to John Bryan Community Center. Admission: $2. Enjoy live music all day along with face-painting, sand art, finger-painting, skate competitions, and skate demos. All ages welcome. Proceeds from the event will go to the YS Skate Park and Haitian Relief Fund.

Nagley's agent and companion, Beetoe, also pictured, will be featured on one of the decks as well.
